Melting rage

The melting of the GGG-material types is effected by means of ABB-medium-frequency crucible furnaces with a capacity of each four tons. The installed capacity enables a maximum melting rate of approximately 5 tons liquid iron per hour and an output of 40 tons good castings each day.

The melting processor guiding and the high capacity compaction of the medium-frequency melting plant guarantees - at a flexible operation - an efficient energy usage in the melting process. The own designed energy usage concept of Jürgens includes an environmentally compatible waste heat recovery of the melting unit. A further credit point to achieve our objective of environmentally aware manufacturing. The following magnesium treatment of the basis melting to produce demanded GGG-quality is effected by the wire injection method with the usage of magnesium filling wire. Afterwards the prompt pouring of the treated melt into the molding boxes is made by means of our foundry machine.
